Key interactions
AI-generated route with visual reasoning · Live route adaptation · Offline maps · Weather + terrain overlays · “Shorten the hike” / “Find a quieter route” · Full-screen map experience · Dynamic elevation and arrival prediction
Overview
Field creates dynamic hiking and adventure routes based on weather, daylight, terrain, fitness level, crowds and personal preferences. Instead of showing a static map, the route continuously adapts as conditions change.
01 / The challenge
Hiking apps hand you a static route planned at your desk. Weather turns, daylight runs out, trails fill up, and the plan no longer fits the day you are actually having.
02 / The idea
Don’t plan the route. Follow the conditions.
03 / The result
A full-screen map experience for iOS where the route is a living recommendation: shorten the hike, find a quieter route, or go offline, and the plan keeps up with the mountain.
